Containing from 5 to over 20 pieces, Tim's puzzle boxes make both a fun puzzle and a great conversation piece or coffee table centerpiece. The patterns are designed so that the tabs on each piece allow it to be held in place while putting the puzzle back together, and to allow individual pieces to be removed without the whole thing collapsing.
They are hand-thrown on the potter's wheel as a hollow form. Once they have dried a bit, the pieces are hand-cut and smoothed. Small knobs are added to each piece, and once it has been fired once, each piece is individually waxed and glazed before the final firing.
A layer of felt on the inside protects the pieces should they fall, as well as whatever you may choose to store inside.
