Each piece is thrown by hand on the potter's wheel. Once it has dried a little, the foot is trimmed on the wheel. After one firing in the kiln, they are ready for glazing.

These pieces provide the most options for creative glazing of any of Tim's work, as the simple design allows for things. He finds this to be the most fun part of making these pieces. In his most recent work, glaze is trailed onto plates and bowls, and using gravity by moving and shaking the piece as the glaze dries, interesting patterns are created. While he still has control over the process, Tim enjoys the fact that the glaze will react and move differently on each piece and create a new spontaneous pattern each time.

All of Tim's plates, bowls, and vases are microwave and dishwasher safe.
