Process

All of Tim's work is handcrafted on the potter's wheel or from handrolled slabs of clay. Once the clay has dried a bit, any trimming or carving is done. When the pieces have dried fully, they are fired for the first time in the kiln, to a temperature of 1800°F. Once they have been decorated with washes, glazes, or marbles, they are fired again, this time to 2150°F.
